Financial education

As a leader and the most experienced guide in the area of financial intermediation we deem it our professional duty and honour to contribute to overall education and prosperity of people in Slovakia.

The longest running project in the area of socially beneficial activities is therefore public education and training in the area of financial literacy; we have been working on these activities in OVB since 1996.

The activities of financial education in schools are covered by the non-profit organisation OVB Charity & CSR Slovakia, working with especially trained and certified lecturers.

In 2024 our project supporting financial literacy in primary and secondary schools included:

Educational project My Family

Financial educational project dedicated especially to upper level pupils of primary schools in Slovakia. Application software provided for schools and pupils of primary schools.

Game Financial Wellbeing

Board game Financial Wellbeing focused on the improvement of financial literacy of the players. Not just for the youth only.

Helping hand for those who need it

OVB as a company, as well as our employees and financial agents, have traditionally been involved in various charity events, such as the Health Run, the Undefeated Run, How much love fits in a shoebox, and also contribute to improving the situation in children's and family centres with their donations and actions.

Even blood donation, which is still in acute shortage in Slovakia, has already become a common part of life for dozens of our employees and agents. The number of donors is increasing every year and we are proud that we can help people in this way, contribute to the filling of the blood bank of Slovakia and even save lives.

We take care of the environment

We are gradually replacing paper contracts and communication with clients within the company with electronic documents and modern applications.

Documents in numbers

As part of volunteer activities, our employees also devote their time and energy to cleaning public green spaces or helping abandoned animals.In 2024, we became adoptive parents of a pair of lemurs, for whom we jointly cleaned a new living space on an island in the Bratislava Zoo and contributed to the care.

Corporate culture as a bearer of common values

Corporate culture is an informal yet extremely strong system of rules that affects the working atmosphere, productivity and employee satisfaction. OVB builds on a tradition that fosters collaboration, growth and mature leadership.

In 2024, we have more clearly defined our values and next steps for successfully implementing corporate culture in practice and improving the employee experience.
